The City of Anderson South Carolina owns and operates Electric City Utilites (ECU). ECU is being used to enhance tax revenue in the city by charging county residents doubled water fees. The city also requires all new customers to sign away their voting rights, effectivley bypassing South Carolina's stringent annexation laws. We would like to see an end to this practice.
